Job Description

PFI Tech is currently seeking a Printer Technician for all aspects of on-site printer support including break/fix support, consumable support, installation and removal of devices in a secure environment and various other responsibilities. The right technician will have approximately 2-3 years field break/fix experience with different models of printers from various manufacturers, excellent communication and customer service skills, and be expeditious in closing tickets within a contracted time. This technician will be capable of working independently with little supervision while teaming up with other technicians as needed.The position will support our client site in Kent, WA.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Full scale troubleshooting and repair; capable of replacing all components of the device.
  • Manage tickets in real time using ticketing system.
  • Assist depot manager in maintaining accurate inventory in the local depot by following process for checking out and returning parts, as well as reordering, etc.
  • Professionally interact with clients, other vendors and teammates.
  • Escalate issues immediately.
  • Flexible to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with Xerox and Zebra Label models
  • 2-3 years print break/fix experience in an environment of 300+ devices.
  • Must thrive under the pressure of strict ticket deadlines/time-bound mentality.
  • Must be able to work independently and with others and under minimal direct supervision.
  • Able to comprehend verbal and written technical instructions and scripts.
  • Physically able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in a team environment.
  • Must have basic computer skills, able to use websites and databases, and comfortable in Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be able to pass extensive criminal background check and drug test.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to produce an original or certified copy of your US Birth Certificate OR a US Passport for to obtain required account badge.
  • Must be able to correctly identify various colors under normal lighting conditions to pass the Ishihara Color Test which is required for the Xerox certification process.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
